In My Heart. Poem by Nebe Albert

In My Heart.

In my heart, i bear a burden so strong.i come to you for rest. Father, give me rest.

In my heart, am weary and sad.who am i? A question i ponder on day and night. Save me from myself.

In my heart, it is you that my heart desires.it you that gives me strenght. It is you that will make me whole and calm my troubled breast.

In my heart, you knocked and asked to enter. Within my heart the table is set to dine with you. but I struggle with my door. My love and my lord, knockdown this false door. Pull it like you pulled mountains. Breakdown every idol which my soul detain.enter me, my love.

In my heart, who will treat me like you do? Thy love which the world cannot comprehend, thy mercy which is beyond all doubt: these you have grasped me with and beheld me in your eyes like your bride.

In my heart, i know i am safe. In thy secret place i abid. In thy love i love because you are love. You fill me with joy and i smell your name like a costly perfume bought for the bride.
