In My Prayers (Free Style) Poem by Dorian Petersen Potter

My eyes I lift as I read Your Holy Book O my God,
And prayers to You for all my friends then I send,
As I go from verses to whole pages from the Bible You describe,
I reflect in all the wonderful blessings that for us You still send

As I go thru my daily walk with you my Lord,
So many good and bad things come and go.
But I know you want me to walk in faith and love,
And in Your wisdom and Love everyday just to grow

So many feelings in my heart and soul sought,
So many dreams and wishes that life still holds.
So many things about You that still I don't know,
And there are those days I feel so tired and old

But as I sumerge in Your Word I can hear You,
And then I feel like myself again, completely new.
