In My Savior's Eyes Poem by Aidan Clevinger

In My Savior's Eyes

Rating: 2.5

Have you ever looked into Jesus' eyes?
I do every night;
In prayer or in dreams,
And as I do it seems
That a love and a light
Spring from those eyes,

This world in all its vanities
Tries to hold me by its lies.
But I've got everything I need,
In my Savior's eyes.

And have you ever heard the Lord's sweet voice?
Like a trumpet,
And like rushing waters.
The voice of the Potter,
Whose blood was spent;
Oh to hear the love in that voice!

The devil tries to sway me,
Tries to influence my choice,
But I have all I'll ever need,
In my Savior's voice.

Have you ever met the Son divine?
Do you feel lost?
Are you looking for love?
Then look up above,
Look to the cross,
And meet God's Son divine.

His was clothed in a body for you,
And for you did Jesus bleed,
So you could come to trust and love Him,
And find all you'll ever need.
