In Old Age I Value My Friends More

IN OLD AGE I VALUE MY FRIENDS MORE

In old age I value my friends more
I need them more
They help me feel I still am a part of the world
They share with me the wisdom of their years
We remember together
We often laugh easily together
We share our problems
And sympathize with each other
We too have together the sadness
Of common friends no longer with us

I value my friends more now
I need them
I pray for their good health
And too often for their recovery
From illness

I am praying now
For two of the most wonderful kind giving people
I have ever known
Both critically ill

May God please give them a reprieve of many good years
