In needful pain
We wait for an answer
To all of life's irks
Slowly, reverently, gingerly
In fearful pain
We anticipate life's answer
To all her tiresome longings
Patiently, quietly, silently
In hopeful pain
We treasure opportunity's answer
To natural quandaries
Softly, resignedly, gainly
In joyful pain
We appreciate life's answer
To all our worries
Lately, surely, purely.
