In Paradise With You Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In Paradise With You

I’m blessed I’m blessed oh Lord so blessed
Happy beyond compare
For in a while in Heaven’s rest
Eternity we’ll share

With You! Dear Lord my Friend my King
Creator God divine
How can I fail Your praise to sing?
How can such grace be mine?

How could a sinner such as I
Have hoped for life anew
To live again and never die
In Paradise with You

I thank You Lord for loving me
For all the things You’ve done
Enabling here to bend my knee
Through Jesus Christ Your Son

The Son who came, The Lamb who died
The King who rose on high
Reigning beyond the great divide
With those who’ll never die

What promise Lord You’ve given me
How will I understand?
How could this child have hoped to see?
The future for me planned

Oh Lord dear God what lies ahead?
What wonders are in store?
When once You’ve raised me from the dead
And opened Heaven’s Door

I’ll live through Christ Your righteous seed
Whiter than virgin snow
Oh yes I’m blessed I’m blessed in deed
More than I’ll ever know
