In Search Of Paradise Poem by Bireswar Halder

In Search Of Paradise

Lure of lustre put haze on my eyes
And I groped and fumbled. What's real?
The shine and the gleam spread night around
Like kids with their toys, I was lost in fog of delusion.

Dear mind, valuable time slips away from life
And you are to reach your own home
Step aside, ignore the glittering pebbles
Walk on with truth in hand, no more false glitter.

Oh mind, brush off all silly things around you
And look for pearls in depths of the ocean
The true manna awaits you, the diamond of your heart
And its rays will lead you as you swim for it.

A flush of light will take you in wonderland
Where abide eternal peace and supreme bliss
The divinity will make a human life complete
And the journey will gift you with a sacred boon.

Before it is too late and dark looms all around
Oh mind, please come out of pleasant illusions
And let`s start a voyage for beauty of the paradise
Where boundless joy and peace await us, await all.
