In Shape Poem by Dorothy Sinha

In Shape

What’s the point
if it has no dimension
only position?

The triangle won the race
who first encloses space
Meanwhile, the square
Equal and fair
was dragged to court
by a snort
the pompous -rhombus
After incurring much cost
finally lost
since his gait
was not erect

This resulted in a fix
The pentagon quarreled why it had five
Side
While the hexagon had six

Below the open sky
The circle wonders why
Its Pi
who gets all the attention
while its measurements tedious
are also dependent on radius
