In The Calm Of The Evening Poem by Linda Harnett

In The Calm Of The Evening

Rating: 4.5

In the calm of the evening,
When thoughts turn to you,
The firelight flames flicker,
Their warmth fills the room,
Your face now before me,
You dance in the flame,
In silence I listen,
Did you call my name?

In the calm of the evening,
The day now long gone,
I’m lost in the embers,
I’m lost in the song,
I feel love surround me,
I bathe in its glow,
The firelight reminds me,
I’m missing you so.

this reminds me of my grandpa that pasted away. The way he loved to dance and play and make leather clocks for a hobie. truely beautiful.
