How would it have been had we first met in the dark
Had I not seen your eyes
Your lovely face
Had I not seen that sense of style
That special loveliness of your smile
The sway of your step
The style of dress

Had I first met you in the dark
I would have heard your kindness in your voice
The softness of your heart
The insistence of your touch
The beauty of your soul
Your wonderful craziness
That brings me your special sanity

Had we first met in the dark
Would I love you as now
