You are young and pretty
Lively and elegant
The air beneath you
Is cool and stagnant
But your foliage is the only
Shade where I breathe and rest
And you are foliage, lacy and green
Wherein exceptional beauty outshines
And in such rich foliage
Yearning and longing my heart
For you to win and not to shrinkage
The air, the season and the scene
All promising a stay in your humble cottage
Oh, my dear, awake
And put on your foliage
Spring forth fresh and green
Enliven my heart with love and compassion
To stay yours as always………..
