In The Garden Poem by Robert Longley

In The Garden

To those of you before me
I say be not afraid
You see me standing hereto
And you see where I was laid

My hands they do the telling
For those who don’t believe
Though yet you may not touch me
Your eyes do not deceive

Go forth and tell your brothers
And share what you have seen
I am for now and always
The strength on which you lean

Prepare a place before me
To share in God’s pure love
And know that I am with you
Both here and up above
