In The Midst Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

In The Midst

In the midst
- - - - - - - -
In the midst of my garden
Lives a sweet, slender and shy tree
Many a tree sturdy and stout amongst
Laden with fruits, buds and flowers

Summer they aspire
Winter they bear
Autumn they sneer
Spring they cheer

And all look gay and happy but one
Dejected and forlorn
Sheds tears alone
When asked about the grief
Points at the apparition of a yellow leaf
And grieves why dainty things are brief

Azure and gold
Rainbow and snow
Flickering to and fro
Leaves
Discolouring every morn

Longing to say
Every moment something
Inaudible and forlorn
Yet teeming with a heart of gold.....

a very thought-provoking poem, so aptly commented by Valsa.

Transcience is the stable reality of life.! The green leaves shall turn yellow and brown..... The rainbow will shortly vanish from the sky..... the powdery snow will melt......It seems that all beautiful things pass out of sight relatively in a shorter time. A sweet write, Deepak!
