In The Midst Poem by Gary Vanderbur

In The Midst

In the midst of troubles, you stand by me.
And the troubled waters of my soul are stilled.

In the midst of anger, you intervene.
And the rage within me is calmed.

In the midst of grayness, you bring light.
And a smile shines on my face.

In the midst of sadness, you comfort me.
And the hurt inside is soothed away.

In the midst of life, you are my hold.
And you hold me together.

In the midst of love, you fan the flames.
And my loins burn for you.

In the midst of you, I find myself.
And I am surrounded by your love.

In the midst of time, you share my life.
And I am satisfied.
