In The Silence Ii Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

In The Silence Ii

In the middle of the quiet
Came a melody...
I had heard it before and
Must have stored it deep
Within...
Now it wants to be heard but
The quiet does not want to be disturbed
So I'll just hum it to myself...
Gee,
My heart likes it!
Listen,
I am singing at the top of my lungs!
The quiet smiles and whispers,

'Thanks! '
