In The Wake Of Your Smile Poem by Kewayne Wadley

In The Wake Of Your Smile

Silence carries the still wind as I'm welcomed to the garden of your smile,
I know every second isn't as grand as the last, but if you don't mind.
I'd like to stay a bit longer here in the garden of you.
Don't worry as my steps will be light,
I've thought of coming here all day, across the bridge of your cheeks.
Longing to talk to you once more.
My delicate flower,
To let the aroma of you fill me again,
Don't worry. Your not stopping me, I don't have anywhere to be.
To caress the slender stem of your body as the petal of your cheek rests against mine,
Reliving whatever weight rests on your tender shoulders.
The highlight of my day.
The feel of your smile against mine.
If by chance can I hold you for a second longer,
Just because, just to feel the weight of you against me to ensure that you have no reason to worry.
A sweet sigh that sends its prayer to heaven merely expressing gratitude in thanks.
A feeling that makes up for any second I couldn't rush here quick enough.
I know you have it hard sometime, but there isn't a reason to fear the bees nor the sun that comes and takes up all the shade as I'll be there to comfort you.
