In These Costly Times

I’m bitter
that we’re giving a shitty future
no option but to regard us as morons
for our over-optimistic scientific view
that has us decimating the environment
to care for people
because the future will fix it
and because decimating is cheaper
than balancing the two,

and has us upgrading the Large Hadron Collider
to find the solution to everything fast,
for we know if we don’t,
the future will be in the poo.
