In Thirst Poem by Rajendra padhi

In Thirst

IN THIRST...
I am away like little blue tides from sea
Fluctuate to reach for a moonlit shore,
No more left bare in depth unknown
I play like a child on sand building a home.

I am away like clouds from the endless sky
It is so vast; the journey is the gravest task,
I drop as little rain on faces of buds at night
Turn into nectar on petals in sunny morn.

I am away like a bird in migratory season
When it is so cold in eves of falling snow,
Wander to a lake with blue eyes of love
Like a fairy I swim in water of pearly smile.

I am away like a heretic flying fast from life
The plight invoking soul from inferno to light,
In somber lament of solitude unfolded to joy
Melody from god comes in multiple visions.
I am away from me like a brook from hills
Flow with crystal waves passionate for sea,
Restless in love and thirst forget the paths
Oblivious of pain when jumps to its heart.
