In This Confusion Poem by Karin Holloway

In This Confusion

In this confusion I've lost my smile
My bravado dropped out of my lunch bucket
And I sit here gettin' high
or tryin' to.
Just as things fit together
I lose the trick.
Why can't it be for play?
All this discontent, misspent,
In an endgame.
