In This Moment Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

In This Moment

Rating: 5.0

Do you see it when I cry?
Or when I am beyond excited?
When I am speechless or angry or sore?
Or when I want the earth to swallow me whole?

Do you watch me when I watch the stars?
The amazement in my eyes when I look into the night
Can you tell what I feel on those nights?
When silence is all I want to hear?

Are you proud of what I have become?
And do you hate as much those who’ve hurt me?
Do you see it when my world is falling apart?
When all I want is to die?

In this moment,
right here and now,
do you see me?
