In This Rainy Season Poem by Neela Nath Das

In This Rainy Season

Rating: 5.0

There's the curtain of
Torrential rain,
Wetting me from top to bottom.
I'm bathing under the swing of
The sudden rain dripping right
From the cumulonimbus.
My view is blurred
I'm blocked by the
White dancing drop-scene.
The rain has wiped out
The houses, the trees and buildings,
Segregating me as if from my present and
Has pushed me back to the fold
Of time I beguiled with you!
The sound of the dripping drops,
The smell of the first rain-soaked
Soil, the fading out of light,
And you, all merge into one
Special point of sweet memory.
This is fascinating hour,
When one can say like me- -
'Had you been with me,
Under the leaking sky,
I must have told you- - - - - -
There's no word
Impossible in this World of Love.'

Under the leaking sky Holding hands together Inhaling the smell of sand Remember the words Whispered in your ears Looking into your beautiful eyes..............?

Beautiful poem Neela. Yes, I would like to join you to soak under the first rain. Especially getting wet in first rain is really cooling....Here, there is no rain. I am thinking of joining you.....(Kidding) ... I loved reading each lines....
