In This World

Too many women
In this world
Born yellow, white, red, brown, or black
Addicted to crack
With nowhere to go
No one to show that
In this world
They still matter.

In this world,
they may be a 'ho' or
they may be a mother
of 3 on welfare.

In this world
Somebody ought to care
Because in this world
They're still the world
To somebody else
In this world somewhere.

Poem of the Day

poet William Wordsworth

I

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
