Hours days weeks searching
All in vain but clues us to
Where something else is

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We leave something out of our hands. It is something we cannot afford to lose so we have to find it. We retrace our steps and search everywhere for quite some time. We still cannot find it. But this search can jog our memory back to something else we need to find. We either put our hand on 'the something else', or we get a clue as to its whereabouts!
