Unless you jump off a roof fly away,
odds are you won’t do anything new
in your lifetime worth remembering
by the masses.
With apologies to those
‘Guinness World Book Record Holders’,
that lady with the twelve inch waist,
the one who can’t pick her nose
cause of the length of her fingernails,
and those other assorted freaks.
You won’t do anything new
in your lifetime.
So don’t let it eat at you.
We’re all in the same boat here.
Only a handful get to jump out
swim away
to the amazement of others.
