In Your Love Poem by Marquita Lawson

In Your Love

How many times, Lord, will I do the wrong things?
How many times will You accept my offerings?
What will it take to change my dark and wicked heart?
Reach out, forgive me Lord, I need a new start in Your Love.

Walking by myself I felt steady on my feet
I had the world to conquer and never called retreat
‘Til You came along and shone Your glory around me
Now I see so clearly - I’m so grateful that You found me with Your Love -

But how many times, Lord, will I do what is wrong?
When will I finally learn to stand up and be strong?
Open my eyes, Lord and show me Your ways
And let me spend all the rest of my days in Your Love.

So many times I’ve had opportunity
To gain the world’s riches, but deep inside of me -
You spoke with Your soft voice, and guided me away
Back to Your pasture and there I want to stay in Your Love - but

How many times, Lord, will I do what is wrong?
When will I finally learn to stand up and be strong?
Open my ears, Lord and teach me Your ways
And let me spend all the rest of my days in Your Love
Please let me spend all the rest of my days in Your Love

song lyrics- 2005
