Inadvertent Poem by Stanley Cooper

Inadvertent

Rating: 5.0

Inadvertent…a hell of a word
As the subject for a poem
It’s a word that’s rarely heard
In a poem, much less a tome

I hadn’t the slightest intention
Not even for a second
To bring this word attention
And then a challenge beckoned

So inadvertently, here I am
Adrift in a sea of verse
Writing this poem of spam
A most inadvertent choice

A sort of 'out of the blue' kind of word, but altogether a frustrating search for a meaning that can be put into a poem. I feel you have done very well with such a difficult subject. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
