Incredible Semi-Final Of 2014 Fifa World Cup Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Incredible Semi-Final Of 2014 Fifa World Cup

It was a cold-blooded massacre
when the Lankan army annihilated
the unwary old and young Tamils
with chemical bombs in Eezham.
If the fractured Brazilian team
got hammered and humiliated
by a stunning margin of 7—1 goals,
could it mean ‘Rout of the World'?
It isn't ‘Shame of Shames'
When the Australians or West Indians
with amazing bowlers in their midst
are humbled to eat mud in World-Cup Cricket!
These things happen in all the games!
Yesterday's gold medal winner in Olympics
roams as a beggar in the streets to-day!
Why should the emotional fans of Brazil
shed tears when the better team wins?
With dance and songs, you began the day
with matchless, colourful celebrations!
A happy beginning meets a pathetic end!
Get up and praise the talents of the Germans
and also their charisma and modest behaviour.
Don't apologise for your poor play.
Dust yourself off, move forward
and the world is yours tomorrow.
