Independence Day Poem by Xelam Kan™

Independence Day

In that blessed summer of 1947
when we F****d
Colonialism and its armies dark
and cast the EVIL off
from the Indus plains.
Since then,
our soaring flag, like a rainbow
is waving high.
A symbol of peace,
progress and pride.

I may be late to the party, but I can still feel the jubilation, nothing like throwing of the chains of colonisers and determining your own path. Independence day for all!
