Many foreign rulers attacked and ravaged it to fulfill their lust.

It was conquered and librated number of times in centuries many,
Some worthy kings cared at times but some exploited with tyranny.

The helpless populace had to bear the brunt of wars unethical,
Stability was a far fetched dream in days of turmoil political.

The west was eyeing east to get a foothold to create its colony,
Its main aim was to promote industrial revolution at home only.

This way the clever Englishman sneaked in as a businessman simple,

Bengal became first stoppage in their covert plan of rule on some day,
India’s freedom was put to inevitable jeopardy by allowing their stay.

Slowly and secretly, the traders spread their tentacles in every state,
