Indian Ranna (Aevichchiya) Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Indian Ranna (Aevichchiya)

Lions and Tigers brawl across the ocean
Jeer and sneer on petty things, sans brain
Strained historical relations weep within vein
Crippled dove gasps, having gunned down

Gone by some months of invisibility
She comes again from Himalayan heights
As fresh golden rays pours through window
Appears she, with greeting from deities

Bluish green sheen pleases mind
White belly signify little lady's vision
Calm posture of yours, pious in kind
Keeps pulsating the heart awakened fine

She comes, making no big noise
Landing at the same spot, every time visits
Does not seem keen in making show off
Goes back, tracking her own way, home bound
