Indigo's Repose Poem by Sheri Green

Indigo's Repose

Day blends into twilight's womb
Beneath the pale and dusky moon
And dons the nighttide's royal feathers
As the stars emerge to bloom

Lose yourself in the quickening measures
Of sleep's resplendent and lofty pleasures
And dispel the vacant and errant schemes
To claim the prize of slumbering treasures

So set sail on the indigo streams
As illusive and recreant dreams
Tumble down into the silver gloom
Giving way to their own felled seams
