Indiscriminate Weapon Poem by Frank Adie

Indiscriminate Weapon

How where you created,
O you weapon of mass destruction?
How did you become the most dangerous tool of man?
You are replete with pleasure,
Yet you can cause so much pain.
You are an indiscriminate explorer,
Bold, fearless and mischievous.
You explore the terrain beneath the ‘triangle' of virgins,
And make a way where there was none.
You dare the passages of married women
And cause disharmony in blissful homes.

What indiscriminate force thus propel you to act
Once you perceive there's a prey in your territory?
You have just one eye
But you can see through the thickest darkness,
And swing to action at the sight of your prey.
After pouncing on your victim,
You leave metamorphic deposits
That could stay in your victim for nine months.
