Information Plateau

you’ve graduated from idiot
to imbecile to moron and
sagely claim you are dully
normal

by your standards
you are

with less structure to get
in the way you’re only
judgemental of those
whose thinking opposes
your unilinear
views

the simplicity of it
means everyone with a
plainly higher IQ is wrong –
leastways you say this
as if it is a matter of
commonsense

in deference to
dull but normal thinking
I agree – eagerly awaiting
your elevation to the
next information
plateau

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
