Ingrate

An Ingrate is not happy
As the sky is far from the earth
Far away is happiness from him
A lot is not sufficient for him
And too much is inadequate

He dies emotionally for greed for more
He fears shortage so he shares not
He is rich but destitute out of greed
He knows a lot by heart with an ignorant heart

A poor ingrate dies slowly daily
Thanksgiving is so rare in his heart
His thanksgiving is lip service
He looks not at those below
When he is above those above
He still looks at those above him

He pretends to be happy
Happiness is expensive for him to buy
Happiness is far away from an Ingrate
Far away as the sky from the earth

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

Good-night? ah! no; the hour is ill
Which severs those it should unite;
Let us remain together still,
Then it will be good night.

How can I call the lone night good,
