Inner Space Poem by Dharma Gill

Inner Space

From time to time in natural meditation
To practice this art I give all dedication
Mastering the mysterious spirituality of Eastern ascetic
In self-fulfilling prophecy spiritually connected
I applied discipline and become spiritually effective
Achieving beneficial levels of calm relaxation
Switched off from the mind that’s strewn with information
Such as experiences, worries, regrets and actions
Negative self-images, emotions and reactions
Analyses of hopes and fear and other distractions
All in a protean stream of consciousness to find
The true self gets buried deeper inside the mind
I search within to discover the other face
Another part of me concealed in my inner space

Through meditation I de-clutter from all the confusions
In order to prompt a range of possible solutions
To focus upon constructive thoughts and clear the atmosphere
To rediscover positive images of self and ideas
Daydreams interpreting the future that reflects
A purposeful way to maintain any subject
By relaxing the inner mind and gathering clarity
In a cascade if revolutionary thinking to form self-identity
At the heart of our potential for contentment
To be free from negativity and be positively independent
Not in a oblivion of people’s opinions that could hurt me
Rising and falling like a thread of mercury
I-search within to discover the other face
Another part of me concealed in my inner space

The unconscious gently steering me in a sense of direction
Always addicted to action now time for inward reflection
The loss of dignified senses might have occurred
By my own momentum real needs obscured and blurred
Time spent organizing the self has stability instilled
It's time gained for positive energy that's fulfilled
Sometimes thoughts may tend to be selfishly calculating
But using aims to purify my techniques of meditating
On an inward journey with basic visualization
More readily to randomly rid the mind of preoccupations
A mantra chanted to still the inner mind
And change the human body into a holy shrine
Now content and purposeful with a new face
I find peace and harmony from my inner space
