Inside A Breathing Tomb... Poem by indira babbellapati

Inside A Breathing Tomb...

Rating: 5.0

time erred again
this time it buried one
still breathing down under
posing a counter challenge
the buried refused to succumb
it(?) grew and grew
deep down under
expanding the 6x3
to accommodate the
growing size
the marker time has
fixed atop its booty
too kept moving with the soil
that kept increasing its volume

for once
time, the vanquished
grave, the victor!

Deep down in our heart we all have that feeling 'not to give up.' '....posing a counter challenge the buried refused to succumb it(?) grew and grew deep down under....' These lines project an image of Viswamitra Maharshi & his Trishanku Swargam! Liked it..10

Interesting requiem of sorts to create a sort of connection to the after-life in an abstract way as if you could stretch your consciousness through time. Only poetry can make that leap. brett ackerman,9/23/2009 3: 12: 00 PM (GMT -6: 00)
