Inside The Bus Bound For Zamboanga Poem by RIC BASTASA

Inside The Bus Bound For Zamboanga

UPON his hand is
the black crow with a rope
at the base of its claw

He says it is domesticated
having fed it
when it was still without
feathers

If i like it
i may start to bid at
one thousand pesos
his offer
sigh!
who needs a bird without
freedom?
