Inside The Outsider Poem by Barry Pook

Inside The Outsider

Alone again, thought patterns, my keepers giving me direction,
Out of an emergency find a way, her attide, protection,
Stay aloof, assert myself, say how I feel,
Scream into my pillow, that's making an appeal,

Have a good relationship with my own kin,
Look to real friends, ones I've known to begin,
No associations with ward contemporaries,
My meeting with her will keep me well for centuries.
