Inside you'll find
The thing I could never tell anyone,
That's Rotting away the lining of my heart.

Inside you'll find
Doors unopened,
Depths unexplored,
The demons of my soul cowering from the internal warfare.

Inside you'll find
Blank emptiness
Spurts of rage
A place uninhabitable

You may think it can change
but I fear for the future
That all may be too late.

And inside you'll find
The one lone island
Brimming with paradise
And the only inhabitant not consumed by the darkness.
