Internet Love Poem by David Harris

Internet Love

A voice thousands of miles away
so soft gentle and pure
has stole my heart away,
made my life want to stray.
Though I know I can never go,
too many commitments bind me
along with a lasting love.
Therefore, I sit in loneliness’ tail
musing over what can never be
and dream my life in someone else’s arms.
Someone who lives so far away,
whose tender words are whispered
across my computer screen.
A paradise lost from me
now and forever more
within the boundaries they call
a great internet love.
