All love begins with friendship
an honest friendship,
A healthy intimate love
Is honest and tender
with love being greatest.
Intimate love is self-disclosing,
Platonic or romantic,
Of who I am
and truth of who you are.
Beautiful words and flattering tongues avail no one.

There is nothing beyond fairness
to the heart of the simple
The type that quietens
the despairing hearts.
To see one nor hear one. it is intangible
The foundation of all intimate love
Is a good healthy friendship
