Into Eden Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Into Eden

I walk back into Eden with out you,
by my side, just a shadow of memories,
to greet me, as I walk through this barren land,
dust, just fills my eyes,
what we had, has now turned to ash,
as the mud sticks to my feet,
the sun burns hot upon my neck,
it will be time to find that tree,
and cut it down,
just like you did to me.
