Invisible

I'm standing right in front of you, but you don't notice me
I walk right past, but you choose not to see

I've hidden in the shadows and given you my heart
I sat idly by as you tore me apart

I've cried enough tears to fill up the Nile
Loving you all of the while

I've been help prisoner for way too long
But to escape means I have to be strong

You have taken all of my will away
And forced me to hurt day after day

Now you act as if I'm not even there
I've become invisible because you don't care

I'm standing in front of you, but you don't notice me
I walk right past, but you choose not to see

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
