Invisible Fears Poem by Soren Valentine

Invisible Fears

Is it just me?
Or does everyone see?

No, how can they see
invisible fears?
They are only for me,
me and my tears.

Will I be free
from this vexed reality?

At least it's not me,
not me only.
Everyone has feared,
all their hearts are seared.

Could I burn with fire
these situations dire?

Others escape fearsome waters in sleep,
but my fears have seeped too deep.
In their terror they shake.
I slither and quake.

Fear's voice is as a harp.
It adorns itself invisibly sharp.
It tries to rise anew,
but I'll deck its grave with yew.
