Is There Time Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Is There Time

Once when I was younger I was quite shy.
In fact that if I spoke I was unsure you'd hear me.
Unaware of my existance.
I spoke with my stare instead, hoping you'd feel it's embrace.
Not knowing what I truly felt
Not knowing the only crime I commited was not speaking at all.
Sitting at that chair, speaking with a gaze. Oddly sitting there with pupils that blushed with your every look.
How do you in fact utter such words to someone you hardly know.
To laugh at the present while eyes gaze towards the future.
A bud that blossoms with time as theres not much left.
Can you see it?
In full bloom.
Outside the window from which I stared.
I feel like a fool, now laughing to myself.
Now staring into your eyes grinning with each word spoken.
Now older celebrating the time in your company
Now older no longer a shadow from the light
