Is Your Heart Like Stone Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Is Your Heart Like Stone

Ever feeling your heart was stone?
Life was not worth living
Crying, thinking, feeling alone
Why not try forgiving?

Regardless what others have done
What friend or foe have said
Bring to The Lord, give to God's Son
Who'll raise you from the dead

For dead you are, unforgiving
Dead from the grave to rise
Till love brings forth, to the living
And grace opens your eyes

Through forgiveness, God's Promise begins
May wide lay Heaven's Door
Forgiveness removes countless sins
Alone Christ can do more

Allowing forgiveness to reign
Love selflessly, to rule
Can guide one, lead one, to a birth again
Even a blind lost fool

Give God a try, call Jesus' name
Nought but pride could you lose
Secretly mention, all your shame
Then faithful wait the news

Heaven's Promise to me, stood true
Soon as forgiveness rolled
Life's Word to me, will come to you
As God Himself foretold

Believe and know my Saviour
My friend, I tell no lie
End all man's foolish behaviour
And live.........never to die.....Michael P. Johnson
