Isn'T It Interesting...? Poem by Sean Michael Bishop

Isn'T It Interesting...?

Isn't it interesting how a sound can make us falter
how no one can save us not even our mother
how everyone says that they are fine
how every love is so divine
how the world will crumble under a single heart
how we will all tremble from the start
how no matter how hard we try we go nowhere
how her face is everywhere
how our tears accomplish nothing
how the anger is almost frothing
how she can ask me to take it back
how it hurts like a whip crack
how no one is there after it all
how they are gone; no text or call

I have faltered mother. I thought we were fine; she was so divine. She broke my heart; every since the start. I have gone nowhere, I have dreams for everywhere. I have done nothing but rabid frothing. I can't bring her back across this crack. I have given my all, it's time for the last call.
