It All Comes Down To This Poem by Ted Sheridan

It All Comes Down To This

Rating: 5.0

I was so very alive.....
my days were overflowing
with goodness and joy
my heart was happy and I rejoiced
in the warmth of abundant sunshine
red blood raced through my wide open veins
I was unstoppable....
but as I grew older and supposedly wiser
I became filled with the sickness of greed
I self destructed trying to regain my youth
My prayers had been answered
yet I betrayed my promises to God
as he had granted me all....
alas....life must come to an end
in order to be everlasting
I need not contradict any longer
that which God already knows
I only need to confess to it as such

Amen.....

I love those last 3 lines Ted, some real words of wisdom there. (well, for a better person than me anyway!) Hugs Anna xxx
