I was walking in the rain without a coat
Two blocks away I saw you standing all alone
Just as I was going to say hello
I saw a man walk up to you and you kissed his nose

I didn't know what to think
But when I saw you smiling
I knew that I could't be
Jealous over what we could never be

I walked away with a smile on, you seemed to be alright
And I didn't bother to call you to start a fight
I kept a mental image of you there with a spark in your eyes
I can fall asleep happily lonely in my bed tonight
