It Can Never Be Poem by Courtney Beaudry

It Can Never Be

If there was you
There was you
And then there was me
There was me
There'd be things that no one else could see

But nobody wants to see us together
Want me to part forever
You'd be safe
No more fear
[I'd be near]
Inside of course
Ohh, the light of the source
A gift from me to you

What do I have to do?
To forget about you
You're like a memory
Of a place with my eternity
And it's like my heart falls
My legs are weak, I have to crawl
I'd give it my all
If I just had the chance outside of my head

I never meant to hurt you
Make you cry
Sometimes I think, and it hurts so much
My heart wants to die
Just wanna stop thinking

Tears matter nothing
In the scheme of life I know
It's weakness
That I've never tried to show

I just wanna keep you safe
Hold you near, light the way
But though I can't
My head plans it all out
Got it all mapped out
How we'll spend our invisible moments
Just tell me

What do I have to do?
To forget about you
You're like a memory
Of a place with my eternity
And it's like my heart falls
My legs are weak, I have to crawl
I'd give it my all
If I just had the chance outside of my head

I swear it's love
Something sent from up above
Never know, never know, not now
'Cuz you're never 'round
It hurts me
When I think I see
The two of us
And our stupid, unforseen love

What do I have to do?
To forget about you
You're like a memory
Of a place with my eternity
And it's like my heart falls
My legs are weak, I have to crawl
I'd give it my all
If I just had the chance outside of my head
